Pregame warmups have begun. I gotta a shitload of things to get done and one of em is waking Virginia up. My boys spent the night there and the good folks of Virginia have police reports to finish and some clean up before the media gets going.

Virginia is a 3.5 point favorite at the moment. Jeff Borzello has Virginia winning this one. Below is his pregame hoop it up.


The regular-season title in the ACC could come down to Saturday. With Syracuse and Duke battling twice in three weeks, Virginia lurked below the radar and emerged in first place after Duke took down the Orange last weekend. The Cavaliers could clinch at least a share of the title with a win on Saturday, and it's also a chance to prove they are a legitimate threat in March. People still don't believe Virginia will be an NCAA tournament factor, mostly because of the Cavaliers' slow style and lack of pop offensively. However, they are one of the best defensive teams in the country and will get teams to play at their pace. Meanwhile, Syracuse has been playing at that tempo for most of the past month, although Tyler Ennis and the Orange will hope to get a few transition opportunities. Can they snap out of their funk offensively?

Sorry, Jonvi; not much of that happened as Virginia broke the zone and controlled the boards from the get go. Excellent ball movement and Toby inside was a beast that Syracuse had no answer. Didn't see the state, but suspect CJ got his 18 or so. He is just an outstanding player.

congratulations jeffro...and the who's. They put a beaten on my boys. I had the bus started with about 4 minutes remaining just to get out of town.


It was a good game. Virginia played like they wanted it. I guess SU will have to get em in the tournament.
