No Landry is safe as QB2 for now. More to do with Bruce Gradkowski tearing his hammy. They signed Bryn Renner to be their stop gap QB3 while they searched for another option.

But I do think it sends a motivational message to Landry.

Really liked the guy coming out of the draft, but clearly he's got some baggage. I always thought he was very comparable to Big Ben, so if the Steelers can get him straightened out, then they could have a very seamless transition in a few years.

However, after already bouncing around a few teams, I wouldn't hold my breathe. Solid buy low kind of deal, though.
