After a year and a half, your dumb ass still doesn't know the difference between a commit and an actual scholarship.

Well he might not know the difference between anything...I mean a commit & an actual scholarship. You know what he's sure of though?

We've been over this player by player a hundred times ThrustMe Kathy. Not going over it again. ESPN lists far less "commits" than the site you're using.

ENROLLEE means they signed the letter of intent and enrolled in school. Those are the numbers I just listed for you.

RUTGERS might be the single most underachieving program in all of football relative to local talent,

New Jersey produces the hell out of talent with only ONE FBS school in the entire state.
Plus, Two of its border states don't even have a big state football school in DE and NY to steal cross-border talent.

In CA, FL, and TX you have double digit FBS programs fighting for the same recruits, plus other states next door that have good programs like OK, GA, AL, LSU, ARK, OR, AZ.

NJ is a small state. If you're going to suggest that Oklahoma or Alabama or LSU is able to recruit successfully from Texas, consider that NJ is within 8 hours of Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, WVU, UNC, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech. I'm sure I'm missing schools. And not all of them are football powerhouses, but they're all better than Rutgers, or have been in the not-so-distant past.

Rutgers definitely needs to do a better job of keeping recruits within NJ . . . but it's not as easy of a task as you might think. Plus, the school was historically not very committed to its football program. Hiring guys like Kyle Flood to replace RU legends like Greg Schiano didn't help much. Hopefully someone like Ash can get the program headed back in the right direction.

Because part of what makes Alabama so good is their depth and the fact they sign a full class every year. It isn't going to change.

The reason I said I don't think they will finish with the number one class -- because the state of Alabama is down on high end talent this year. I'd bet Bama will still sign the norm for them, but the number 1 recruiting class streak will end, IMO

Saban confirmed the other day that this class will have 23 recruits in it. We had 15 signed at the time and he said we had 8 more spots left to fill.

Dipshit.

Did you seriously just respond to a post from 7 months ago and call ME a dipshit? I have to say — for the first time in a long, long time — Bama doesn’t have that many in state elite recruits and like I predicted, the #1 recruiting class streak will come to an end.

I’m like Nostradamus.

He is upset. When I pointed out to him that what makes Saban a great coach is the SEC conference footprint and his recruiting, he became bitter. He doesn’t like to be reminded that Saban never won 10 games at MSU in 5 years, never won a division or conference title, and not even a single bowl game (he went 0-3 and lost by 21 ppg on avg). He doesn’t like to be reminded that he had a sub.500 record in the NFL and never won anything. He didn’t like to be reminded that Saban did less in 5 years than George Perles did and much, much less than what Mark Dantonio did either.

I think it is hysterical he is spending his nights reading try months and months of old posts to try and come up with something..........ANYTHING, to get back at me.

In the end — the truth just hurts. Saban is a great coach.........in the SEC. Outside of it — 49-42 with 0 division titles, 0 conference titles, 0 playoff appearances and an 0-3 bowl record. But when you give him the best recruiting classes money can buy — he can really ‘develop’ that talent. Having 5 star recruits, backing up 5 star recruits, while your special teams is littered with more 5 star recruits helps:lol:
