There is at least one player on his own team I would prefer to take the last second shot.
If Curry is open, then sure.
But, KD is capable of creating easy shots for himself that Curry simply isn't. That is way the end of game play is going to KD almost every time.
Durant's height makes it easier for him to shoot over a defender. That doesn't make him more "Clutch". Someone who is interested in spending the time could pull the numbers on how many shots both and any other player has taken under 2 minutes with the game within 5-10 pts. But even that will not show who wanted the shot and how many times they passed to avoid taking that shot.
I have watched as many Thunder games as almost anyone. I saw Durant dribble the clock out and pass the ball to Westbrook so he wouldn't have to take that shot more times than I can count. I'm not trying to convince you or anyone. But I will not be convinced I didn't see what I saw.
You must. How many times have you responded?

I have watched KD hit many bigs shots in big games. Might not have always been the case, but I don't care whether or not he could make them 4 years ago. He can now.
Curry is great, but I have seen him miss some pretty easy shots in big moments. The fact that KD can create for himself where Curry can't always makes it a really easy call. KD is an all time great scorer and a better scorer than Curry. It isn't just about him being tall.
It's funny. We disagree on almost everything. How's the MBBRL going? I haven't kept up.
For anyone that hasn't been watching Westbrook is probably playing his best ever basketball right now. His shot attempts and especially his 3 point attempts have been down during this winning streak while his assists and shooting percentages have been up. Such a fun player to watch when he is on, and equally frustrating when he is not.
Never should have been in that position but yeah huge missed call. NBA officiating is, well, it's not great.
