Do we know what the health status is of the countless injured Islanders? Grabovski? Visnovsky? Nielsen? They'll need all hands on deck if they plan on making any sort of run.

Grabovski just started practicing. I doubt we'll see him unless the coaching staff thinks he's game-ready. Coming off 2nd concussion.

Viz has been playing, I think he's relatively healthy at this point

Nielsen re-aggravated an ankle injury pretty recently but he's been practicing full. I imagine he'll be back for Game 1

Matt Martin missed the past 3 games with a leg and/or shoulder injury. He's been practicing and I think he'll be back for Game 1

Travis Hamonic is the biggest question mark and the one I'm really worried about. He hurt his leg pretty badly against the Pens two games ago. There's been no concrete update but my gut is that he's likely out against the Caps. He's their shutdown guy against Ovie too....

Too many days between the end of the regular season and the start of the playoffs. I'm too amped and I don't know what to do with myself.

Isles need all these days off...they have a TON of injuries.

I'm just hoping Halak doesn't play like he did the last time the caps faced him in the playoffs. Too lazy to look it up but I think he stopped like 280 of 288 shots that series for the habs... Rat bastard

He's been shaky in a few games coming in to the playoffs. That could mean jack shit though because this is the Capitals we are talking about. Also he saved 131 of the final 134 shots he faced in the final 3 games...a .977 SV%:L

Playing the Caps in the playoffs is a sure thing. They always fold like a cheap suit.

I really like the Caps chances in the playoffs. The defense is great and I have always liked OV. Would love to see a good run.

Hamonic is out indefinitely. Reinhart has been called up & will likely be watching from the pressbox. The thought of Brian Strait getting a regular shift scares me.

If the Isles are going to have a chance in this series they have to stay out of the penalty box. Containing OVI 5 on 5 is hard enough.

I'm trying to come up with a good rhyming slogan like "The Druce is loose!" and they're all pretty bad. "Glencross is a boss!" is the best I could come up with...
