discuss anything about the preseason top 25 here, and who you think is getting rated too highly by other posters, once again you can kindly ask a poster why a certain team is ranked where they are, don't bash other peoples polls.

I'll delete posts that say stupid stuff like "This posters poll sucks they should never vote again" or crap like that

Which preseason poll are we basing this on?

Your own sir

I meant to release this like a week before the coaches poll came out so folks had time to vote without worrying about other polls, but I found out yesterday that it was coming out tomorrow.

How on earth are Clemson and UGA ranked above USC in these ballots? We've dominated both for 3-4 years and our talent loss is not as substantial as UGA's (who we beat by 4 TDs last year). Do you really think UGA is going to turn that far around relative to the Gamecocks? Makes no sense whatsoever.
As for Clemson, like UGA they're obviously living off the tradition of pre-season overrating. Gamecocks will beat both of them AGAIN this year.

I pretty much tried to base mine off of returning starters and last year's record. I did a few biases in there as well. I tried to be fair though.

24/7 - Now that you mentioned it, I think you are right. UGA is returning 3 defenders. I do have South Carolina above Clemson. I have UGA way overranked. But then again, SCar only returned 5 defenders and UGA has 10 returning on offense where SCar has 7.

*Texas A&M is returning 4 defenders. I don't see them as a top 10 team.

*I can see Northwestern being a top 10 team this season.

*I considered Nebraska's schedule.

UGA would need 15 returning starters on offense to turn around a 28 point ass-whipping in one year.
Also keep in mind those defenses were not equal. Ours was 11th in the country, theirs was 21 slots behind us (32), and they lost more guys.
And, of course, Clowney = 4 starters by himself.

24/7 is actually putting up very good points, and adding some humor at the same time, I'm about convinced

I don't know why I didn't quote Jerm's post but

I agree with the Texas A&M thing, honestly I might move them down further now, with 4 defenders returning and Manziel more distracted than ever they could have some issues this year, or at least the reason to believe they may have issues could cause me to drop them, but teams below them have issues too.

Northwestern I definitely agree on, I guarantee they will be way underrated in the coaches poll tomorrow, they should be in the top 15 at least, with what they return.

I do disagree on the last one though, I feel like schedules shouldn't at all be included in preseason rankings, though that is my opinion anyways.

Nah bro. Everybody shows their team a little extra love. Hell I had us @ #3. Might as well, but then try to keep everything fairly legit. I like it. Good looking poll. Might get BSF to move it over to the poll thread though.

I was talking to my brother this week about NIU. He brought up that they lost a ton on defense. I don't expect them to be seen near as good. They just lost too much. I am even thinking Iowa has a chance to beat them if Rudock plays well.

I'm also not very good at doing Top 25, there's always a team I forget about and obvious overrate. I think I am a lot better at predicting game scores. That is why I never did a Top 25 last season, maybe preseason. Once the season started, I cared more about predictions.
