I think as a whole, LSU defense is one of the best in the nation, that just got worn down by a high flying Texas team in the 3rd/4th.

I just feel like it was a bad day for their defense, whereas it was probably what we should expect from Texas.

I mean, it's your opinion, which you are free to, but I can't find any logic to it.

Well, then I guess UNC should be top 10 then right? Along with Maryland. Yet, neither appear in your poll anywhere near the top 10. Interesting...

Yes, UNC, Clemson and Hawaii would be top 5 teams.

They’re the most proven this year without question. That being said, some teams still have more talent, more experience, better coaching, etc. and that should play a factor. It just shouldn’t be a bigger factor than on field results.

If Duke would’ve beaten Alabama I wouldn’t rank Alabama ahead of Duke immediately following the game because results on the field matter more than results on paper.

I still think being unable to make a stop on 3rd and 17 was the reason we lost. We were only getting 7 points out of those 2 4th down showings anyway. The reason we were in position for the second was because we failed on the 1st. It was early enough in the game for LSU to adjust. We get that stop on 3rd and 17 and we milk the clock and score most likely. LSU's D was done.
I don't disagree on the end of the game. But, had the Longhorns gotten that 7 it would've changed the outcome of the ball placement from a kickoff instead of the turn over, which was turned over on downs again.

Yes, that was my point. I might have worded it poorly.

You didn't sticky the notice this time like you have done in the past. I had to hunt it down to put in my vote. That may be why others have not voted, yet.

I can't sticky. I'm not a mod.
