"Spezza is a wimp" - Sens vs. Avs GNT

Okay, just saw that Mark Rycroft over on Altitude Sports called Spezza a "wimp."

Although I find Spezza to be soft at times, he's not a wimp. All he is, is just careless with the puck at times.

Spezza better come out with a purpose tonight and let Rycroft eat his own words.

Sens have been good at times and horrific at times. Just no consistency what so ever. "Underachieving" is a good word to use I guess because they should be a team that finishes 5-8 in the conference. Whether they will or not is another story.

What I will say is that they do need more from their number 1 center. The Sens need Spezza to put up at least a point a game. Something he hasn't done up to this point. Alfie is getting older and he can't be a go to guy every single night anymore.

I expect this game to be a hard fought game but the Sens did play last night so they'll need to get off to a good start. If they don't then the game could get away from them quickly. Especially with the way the Avs have been playing lately.

Elliott has looked pretty bad lately. The only thing saving him is Leclaire constantly getting hurt. Otherwise it's a no brainer on who the starting goalie is now.
