tOSU is concerning, though, depending on which team shows up.

Buttload of talent that can whoop ass on anybody, but are erratic at times. Will be looking forward to the matchups ... our D better bring its "AAA" game, if that even exists.

Ok, I started off as a potential 'Debbie Downer' here.

I'm worried (as always) whoever we draw in a bowl game, especially the bigger ones, cuz that's where we've been embarrassed in the recent past.

I swore we didn't have much of a chance against the 'mighty' LSU last year with that beast Fournette and we wound up not only hanging with them, but winning at the end on the FG. I was wrong.

tOSU prolly beats us on paper, matchup-wise, because of the talent pool they enjoy, but I hope to hell we can somehow get 'healthier' by 1 January.

I think it will be a very close game very few teams they have played has as much talent on the offensive line as Notre Dame and the front 7 for Notre Dame are pretty good the one area that they lack is a big time pass rusher and when they blitz and don't hit home is typically when they get carved up in the passing game.

I don't know that having him back will tip the scales but it will keep everyone fresher through the game and allow Rochell to play at DE instead of inside.

Yeah, I'm sorta in this mindset, also.

Jones will prolly not be 'game-ready' as he's missed the whole season and it usually takes a game or two to get there. Providing spells will more than likely be the way to go, unless somehow they get him up to game-speed. Dunno how, though, with no real contact & situations.

Kevarie might be back and I can't remember if Tranquill's deal is that lengthy. Prosise should be 100%. Am I missing anybody?

Russell will be borderline, he'll need to come back at the at the beginning of the return timeline.

I doubt Tranquill will be back. But Prosise should be healthy and anyone else that is a little dinged up which is probably a lot of guys should be getting healthy as well.

Yes we will have the combo of Adams and CJ and we add Jones. Defense needs to come to play. Smith vs OSU RB should be fun.

I disagree, he will have a month to prepare. They say he is good to go to practice. They say full contact in 1 week. Jones will help with OSU run game.

yes but both teams have a month off. its like starting over in a way. I think he will be fine. Just my opinion.

Sitting out a few weeks, while already having been game ready for a season, is nothing like sitting out a whole season ... trust me.

It takes a game or two to get back to full game-speed with routine, situational awareness and rhythm with other players.

BK has done pretty well in the shit bowls his teams have competed in. As far as I know he has been the head coach of teams in 2 big bowl games; 2008 Orange Bowl loss to #17 VT (20-7) while at Cincinnati and the National Championship game in 2012 we would all like to forget. Our boys need to compete for 4 quarters and play to their ability or we will lose by at least 2 points.
