Past week? How about past decade? As soon as he starts repeating what he says it's the first tell he's either babbling or lying. The second is he opens his mouth and starts speaking...

I don't pay much attention to it anymore. I find myself incapable of taking him too seriously.

I wish Dale or some local news guy would take these interviews and do a "Jerry closed caption" scrolled across the bottom. All it would have to be is just translating everything Jerry says into its exact opposite.
"We haven't spoken to Ware" = "we already told him what is going to happen"
"Monty is safe" = "Monty just got demoted"
