I used to joke that he and Courtney did it and then used all his lyrics en sech for their respective bands,


The show is interesting tho...Tom Grant's audio-file collection is something...Courtney certainly did not give a fuck about Kurt at the time of his death. I'm not sure she was capable of "caring"?? Pathetic junkie fosho.

Couple other things are certain...The Seattle PD was a fucking joke at the time. The police ruling that it was a suicide the day of discovery is shoddy at best.


The other is the media, per the usual, fucked everything up royally.

I'm interested, but more so in their music. When I was growing up we got "The Doors" movie. And, though it wasn't all that good, we all got to revisit the Doors and all their great tunes. I think we need a big Hollywood Nirvana movie. That's what I really want to see. This suicide/murder story is a little tired for me.

Meh..they weren't even the best band in Seattle in my humble opinion, (no disrespect intended) but the circumstances surrounding his life and death are intriguing to me.

Looking forward to seeing it. Also not my fav of the grunge scene but a good band and Kurt was a great songwriter.

Cool that they named it after the Bleach album. That was a great album. In my opinion it was even better than Nevermind.

This may be better set for the other board, but who does everyone consider the best grunge band? What exactly qualifies as "grunge"?

Do STP or Smashing Pumpkins qualify as grunge? How about the Foo Fighters?

Personally, my favorite was STP. However, I would understand if someone were to claim they were not "grunge" since they were not from Seattle. If Seattle is a key factor, than I like Soundgarten or AIC.

Grunge is an ill defined term. Just close your eyes and accept the definition of the masses. It does not need to be a Seattle band to fall into the end definition of grunge (note that the meaning of the term changed and evolved from what it originally was).

Screaming Trees, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, Melvins, Nirvana, Tad, Gruntruck, Green River, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam, Bundle of Hiss, Mad Season, Skin Yard, The U Men, Temple of the Dog, Love Battery, My Sisters Machine, 7 Year Bitch, L7, etc. It was a great time to be in Seattle!
