Right, but replacing him will make that roster spot cost more than keeping him. For a #4WR, unless we're getting a massive upgrade, which I think is unlikely, I'd be surprised if they moved on from him.

If we cut Kearse after June 1st we save 2.2 million.

I have no opinion on what they plan to do with him. They don't NEED to cut him as they have a ton of cap space available. But if they feel that they can upgrade the position then I could see them doing it.

It looks like Kearse has a cap number of $4M this season and a dead cap number of $3.6, so cutting him saves peanuts. I definitely don't see him here in '18 though because his cap # will be $6.8M and we save $5M by cutting him.

After June that changes and cap savings are 2.2 mil. For this upcoming season.

2.2 for cutting him, replace him with a low draft pick/current practice squad guy and save almost 2 million. might as well do it, its a waste of a spot having him on the team when he literally has zero upside.

Won't bother me if they cut him, but not sure they will, they seem to like him a lot. Depends I guess if they feel this season is what they get going forward from him, or if they just consider this season a down year for him.

If the team did cut him, I can see them doing so after June 1st... If we don't have any glaring needs at that time at other positions, I can see us going into the season with him again, especially since Lockett may not be back at 100%... A lot will depend on Lockett's progress imo... Baldwin and Richardson will be our 1, 2 if Lockett isn't ready to go... I can see the Hawks drafting another WR personally in the 4th-7th round...

If Lockett isn't ready to go....by when? Bones heal pretty quickly, and I don't think he's in any kind of jeopardy to not be ready by camp.

they wont, everything im wishlisting will remain wishlisting. i fully expect the only real additions going into next year will be through the draft.

They mentioned right after his injury that it will be close...

Don't know that the Seahawks feel WR is what they need from the draft. CB, LB, DT, Safety, OL probably are bigger needs and they don't have a ton of picks. Suppose to be a strong draft for defensive players, so I see the Seahawks going heavy in that direction.

Some sites/networks are forecasting that the Hawks will pick up two compensatory picks in the draft, so we'll see what happens with that.

I just read that myself. Could be a 3rd round for Bruce Irvin and a 5th round comp as well. Also comp picks are available to be traded.

I agree, WR should be the least bit on the radar so I say keep Kearse for another year and focus on the more important needs like the lines and the back field.

Because they were constantly nursing new or prior injuries?

Did you watch the regular season? Or just tune in for the playoffs once you knew Seattle was in?

Why is Kearse ahead of Lockett and Richardson? Size. We need a good big body WR to compliment Baldwin leaving Lockett and Richardson as slot WRs. Brandon Mashall if he still has gas in the tank is intriguing but some team will throw too much money at him. We need to upgrade at that position
