If you want to compare like opponents: Mizzou didnt need a miracle play to beat Georgia and beat them on the road, Mizzou beat Ol Miss by more than one possession and beat them on the road, both teams dismantled Tennessee with Auburn doing it on the road. Mizzou's loss was in 2OT with missed FGs, a choke job and the other team getting their starting QB back. Auburn just sorta got beat on the road.

If you're giving it to Auburn, its based purely on some sort of eyeball test

Yeah, eyeball test as in watching the whole game instead of one or two plays

2-loss Oregon gets blown out and stays ahead of one loss MSU? Texas A&M ahead of LSU despite identical records, a head to head loss (which wasn't close) and no good wins?

Terrible.

And this is what happens when somebody gets married to their previous poll, and is unable to break out of their mold. At best 1 of those teams should be ranked (i.e. LSU). Justifying aggies being ranked at this point is almost laughable. Justifying them top 17 is ridiculous. Justifying them top 17 and ahead of LSU is criminal.

If not this week, then next week provided Missouri wins and Auburn loses, which is the most likely scenario.

I see no reason for Missouri to be behind Auburn at this point.

Mizzou just needs to get past Texas A&M and they will be a lock for a BCS game

Baylor and Mizzou will freeze out No Illinois

Fresno should get in because they are ranked higher than UCF

The barn will be #4, to set the stage for the iron bowl.

I agree with most of the above however, think Auburn, South Carolina, and Clemson are over rated. IMO, Stanford(even though they lost to Utah early) and Michigan State are better teams.

didn't you just post your top 25 and have the Aggies ranked, but not LSU?

The eyeball test is only used by those who's arguments aren't supported by stats.
