Jack Arute was on his Sirius radio show and said something along the lines of Bad News out of South Bend. I've heard a bunch of rumors like pot smoking, cheating, we're joining a conference, player transferring, coach leaving and a few other things. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything concrete.

Actually I think his quote was "things brewing in South Bend". Which of course I hear as " bad news". Hopefully it's nothing big.

How about Folston and Bryant caught smoking pot, and out of the bowl game. That is the latest rumor. Of course this same source assured me that Kelly was leaving. So he doesn't usually know what the hell he is talking about.

Well that would normally hurt the offense but Kelly would probably abandon the running game anyway so it won't change the outcome all that much.

I don't know if I would take that as bad news. Zaire looked a whole world better than gholston. Could end up being a blessing in disguise if it's true.

I've heard absolutely nothing along those lines. And who does Jack Arute have as a source. There's a lot of other reporters closer to the program who haven't made such assertions.

Harbaugh is going to the Raiders. So that rumor is false.

As of right now nothing on Folston and Bryant. Please post link if you know more info.

Why would the Raiders want an 8 win a season coach? I like Kelly and still believe he can lead us to the promised land, but if he didn't get hired to an NFL after 12-1 I'm not sure the last two seasons boosted his resume much.

NFL has passed Kelly by now. He would have to have another 12-0 season or back to back 11-1 seasons to go back to the NFL. Maybe he can go to the NFL as a OC. I don't see it as a head coach

That's what it seems like. 49ers would trade him there for like a 2nd or 3rd rd pick. Its all rumors right now.

Harbaugh wants more control and York wont let that happen. Baalke has been a great GM so far.

Yes I saw that. If I had to pick I would pick Gruden. Either one would be fine. Both have negatives. Gruden has been out of football for awhile and Holmgren might be past his prime. I think Gruden would be a good fit for Kap.
