nice.
almost to nice to use as a truck though.
almost

Yeah, I don't think he plans on using it as a truck. He had a fiberglass, color matching bed cover put on it today.

I don't understand the concept of luxury pickups.

I don't think I do completely either, but I did find myself liking the shit outta this truck.

is your boss a 'truck guy'. I mean, was his previous vehicle a truck? Or has he owned trucks in the past.?

Or is he one of those guys that has never owned one, and all of a sudden he wants to become a real man or something.

did he get the optional perfume dispenser???

Since I've been working for him (8 years) he's had a Nissan Titan, a less fancy F150, a Chevy SSR, a 350z convertible, a Solstice, a Tahoe, a BMW convertible and a Maxima off the top of my head. I'm thinking prolonged mid life crisis. If he needs a truck to be used as a truck, he pays somebody else to do it.

Hope all of those are leases.

He usually just buys them then either sales them or trades them in when he gets tired of them. I do think the Maxima was a lease though. There's no telling how much money he's lost over time doing sech, it doesn't seem to bother him too much though.

does he stare lovingly at his pussy truck each morning...like the boss in Office Space with his Porsche?

Not sure yet, he just bought it Saturday and I'm off today. Will report back when I have a definitive answer. If I had to guess though, I'd say yes. Yes he does.

lol, there is a guy in my old department who we would say that about. Dude is the biggest metrosexual d-bag in the world. nice guy, but has this kick ass Jeep that he bought and had all this stuff done to it (6" lift, procomp bumpers all the way around, bushwackers, 35" grabbers, CB whip, warn in the front with a hi-lift jack attached to back bumper, KC's...whole 9 yards) and has never once gone off road. Not talking about in this vehicle, in any vehicle. Doesn't camp, doesn't hunt, doesn't have land anywhere, doesn't offroad. What is the freaking point of spending all that cash (not to mention the wear and uncomfortable ride on those tires on the highway) for looks.

It's sorta like picking up a hot chick because you think she will be a great lay, looks good but it's just not what you were hoping for.

I guess I shouldn't poke fun at the dude since I drove the ultimate in useless trucks for 5 years; a Lincoln Blackwood. It was just an Expedition with a bunch of fancy stuff and a small truck bed with a cover. But it was way too nice for anything rugged and the bed was too small and too fancy for anything but groceries or golf clubs. I'd always swap with my nextdoor neighbor for the day when I needed his beat-up diesel truck for getting some sod or whatever.
