Why should Miss State be ranked ahead of Ole Miss?

To me, Ole Miss has clearly been the better team.

Doesn't matter what those two teams are ranked right now because they play each other. So whether ole miss is 3 and msst is 2 or vice versa, one will eventually claim the higher ranking
