If he's there in the 5th, I'm taking him. Even if he gets suspended for a year, I still do it. What 5th round pick is really gonna see major snaps next year anyway. Getting a guy that many were considering at 17 in the 5th and not having to use Allen as a space eater and wasting his pass rushing ability would be huge. Even if he can't stay out of trouble, at worst it cost us a 5th, but the upside could be a pro bowler and someone that could allow your big investment, Allen, to flourish.

Again I will say I only have two issues with Brantley

1. He is a Gator.... I can get over that.

2. He has off field issues.... I can get over that too.

2 weeks ago this guy was considered a possible late 1st rounder, and likely a 2nd rounder. Now this changed over the last week or so, and he slid down the boards. The kid has talent. In the 4th I would have been fine with him. In the 5th I will have no issue. BUt I do think we need to grab another D-line player.

I was fine with Mixon being off the table in the 1st, and even in the 2nd (although I would not have been upset if we had given up the 5th to trade ahead of the Bengals to get him).

Brantley is a starter in this league, the hitting a woman is an issue, a big issue. But if they take him this late in the draft... I wont lose any sleep over it.

But you are right, he is probably off the board.
