The fact Seattle has gone this long without an NBA franchise is terrible. New Orleans does not seem like the greatest market for NBA and quiet frankly it may be one of the most forgotten franchises currently in the NBA. Yet they have a decent roster of talent including Anthony Davis who could be a great player if he stays healthy.

But really, the Pelicans are forgotten where they are right now in N.O and they have Cousins and Davis. They aren't good, they aren't winning, the rebranding the Pelicans did a couple years ago to go from the Hornets to Pelicans resulted in an extremely bland look. I don't think many people would shed a tear if the Pelicans moved to Seattle. Seems like New Orleans was a try out spot for the NBA, it worked for a couple years, and it has now faded.

Seattle needs a team, New Orleans probably doesn't care and is just waiting for Saints football to come around, could this be the next NBA franchise to move?

They'd have to change their name to the Sonics though

I much rather see the Sonics instead of the Pelicans in the NBA just by their jerseys and court design alone.

No way the NBA leaves New Orleans, way too much politics involved for that.

exactly. even if they wanted to, neither the ownership, nor commissioner silver, would have the balls to even suggest it.

They SHOULD have gotten the Kings when the Seattle group laid out a great offer but the NBA went with Sacramento and Vivek on a shady arena deal done by Kevin Johnson (that dude is slimy). They won't get an existing franchise now. The Kings were the only team where it looked like they could move. Expansion is their only shot now...which Silver indicates he's open to

Yeah, Seattle deserves a NBA team big time. Got to think through expansion rather than relocation.

Kings have a great fanbase. They would be Seattle 2.0 if a team was taken from them.
