Guess I'll try the live boot on the Ubuntu machine tomorrow to see what happens. It has a dual core with 2 gig RAM so...I do know during install it seemed to take forever to get past certain screens, think it's graphics related but not sure.

Harold, I'm pretty sure it's graphic related. I had to select nomodeset (3rd option) to get the live CD to boot on the Ubuntu machine with an ATI card. It hung on the machine with a newer Nvidia card too but haven't got around to trying nomodeset on that PC.

OK, I went with a newer Beta version and bingo it works. I'm using it right now. Just using a live CD, not actually installing it to the hard drive.
