Wow did i read that graphic correctly! The last OT game, in the Nassau Coliseum, between these two teams was in 1980?
Or was that just in the playoffs?

I guess he was sort of ok after game. Did not go to hospital. IDK he was out on his feet to me. I will be amazed if he returns this series or maybe even this year. Good clean hit BTW. Unfortunate.

It's been a good series.. probably go 7... Isles have more grit than I expected.. continues to make me jelly that Boston is still a contender after 10 years since winning..

I thought it was a stupid challenge. It almost ended the series. Was it borderline? Sure. Two separate guys were making contact with the goalie on the play but both were also, maybe not really pushed hard by Islanders but at least touched and guided. if I were a Bruins fan and they reversed that I would have gone ballistic.
I was more trying to figure out what the heck happened with the goal popping up and back down because it was dislodged for a second.

For me was the way that Marchands stick was between the post and the skate and kind of wedged it out, that's what saw for me that the goalie interference was there

This series is why playoff hockey is just the greatest thing in sports. Boston is just a better team, Rask is both really good and hot which should make them unbeatable for a team like the islanders but hockey is hockey and Trotz is an amazing playoff coach.

It’s funny that the final score makes it look like the islanders dominated but in reality it was pretty much the same as the overtime game as far as either team being able to win it with one break
