How has the bottom half of teams done vs lowly nobodies? So let's review... The SEC so far has beaten the following P5 teams...
Miami
Clemson
NC State
Colorado
Texas
Louisville
They lost to Pitt and UCLA.
They are 6-2 versus other P5 conferences the first 2 weeks.
The B1G so far has beaten the Following P5 teams OOC....
Syracuse
West Virginia
Iowa State
Oregon State
Washington
They lost to Oregon and Virginia
They are 5-2 versus P5 conferences the first 2 weeks
The SEC has wins versus 3 ranked OOC opponents and a loss to 1
The B1G has 1 win versus ranked OOC opponents and 1 loss
Seems to me the SEC is proving more than the B1G so far with games against 4 ranked opponents and winning 3 of them.
I can check but yeah Vandy is pretty bad even more so than normal this season. I do know the SEC in total has only lost 3 games through 2 weeks (Vandy currently trails at halftime). So the Vandy Loss is the only loss not mentioned in that post. Looks like Illinois has a loss to UTSA.How has the bottom half of teams done vs lowly nobodies?
I remember Vandy got beat by someone I didn't even know had a football team.
Well, I'm the last one to talk, my Gophers had 3 close calls to start 2019 and followed that up with it's best season since the 60s. And barely won today as well. But still, the SEC has had several close calls against some real nobodies. I think it's too early to make a good judgement, and lots of teams struggle early in the season, but at the same time, why aren't these FCS teams or lowly non-P5 teams struggling? It's early in the season for them, too, isn't it? Just saying.I can check but yeah Vandy is pretty bad even more so than normal this season.
Point out the games where the SEC is inching past nobodies ? The SEC best teams in general are easily handling their opponents so far. TAMU lost their starting QB today to injury and inched past Colorado. They won by 31 a week ago.Well, I'm the last one to talk, my Gophers had 3 close calls to start 2019 and followed that up with it's best season since the 60s. And barely won today as well. I too think it's funny that the OP who started this thread got embarrassed in their 2nd game as I'm not an tOSU fan. But you'll never catch me cheering for the SEC, either. The SEC deserves respect for what it does well, but too many SEC teams get credit for just being in the SEC, not for what they earn on the field.

Alabama beat both OOC opponents by 30+
Florida beat both OOC opponents by 20+
Georgia inched by Top 10 Clemson and won by 49 today.
Arkansas beat both OOC opponents by 19 and 21
Auburn beat both OOC opponents by 50+
Kentucky won their only OOC game by 35
Ole Miss won by 19 and 37
LSU lost to UCLA but won by 27 today
The only close games I really see versus "Nobodies" are by teams that finished poorly a year ago.
SCAR was 2-8 a year ago and squeaked by ECU today
Mississippi State was 3-7 a year ago and squeaked by Lousiana Tech a week ago.
Feel free to point out these teams that are good squeaking by nobodies.
Yeah. He probably should have kept his "moith" shut.

Whose on the SEC's schedule this week?
Florida has been the only SEC school I've ever liked. But Bama has impressed me lately.Bama vs Florida and PSU vs Auburn

I'd probably bet my house on Bama beating Florida, but I won't bet my house because Florida will probably keep it close enough the stress would probably kill me, lol. As for PSU vs Auburn? Both were really good teams the Gophers beat in 2019, I'd trust they are both still pretty good. I'd put 10 bucks on PSU, but not much more because Auburn is not to be taken lightly.I do not see them beating Bama but it should be a good game. Not sure about PSU vs Auburn.
