lol@ the SEC'ers who don't like the giant gaps in facing conf teams, but defend only playing 8 IC games a year. :L

That's just terrible. It's rigged to give the highest possibility of having two undefeated and multipul 1 loss teams going into the final week before playoff selection. It's obvious as hell but there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it. UTVol makes a great point, 10 years before the Volunteers visit College Station. That's just a fucking joke.

kinda stupid. As a student who graduated and never saw us play Bama in person I can say that any SEC team would love the chance to play them at home or any other top SEC team. Glad I saw LSU and Auburn

I'd rather just get rid of the fixed rival game. But people care about "Tradition" and want to play Tennessee every year so that will never happen. But I kinda think less is more and think playing Tennessee every 2 or 3 years adds to it, rather than takes away from it.

A&M will have played 11 years in the SEC before visiting Knoxville.

And they were the ones I was looking forward to playing the most when they joined :gaah:

Any SEC coach not named Saban is to blame for this horse shit... If we went to 9 games everyone could play each other in a 4 year interval.

None of this is set in stone is it? I mean the conference could vote next year to go to 9, drop the cross rival, etc and those schedules would be rewritten.

We know change never comes fast in college athletics, but it does feel like we are heading to some sweeping reforms and realignment. I wouldn't bank on any long term schedule for any of us at this point.

It would be hard to imagine not playing Bama every year, but I would get used to it

I wouldn't think so. Isn't the four team playoff scheduled for some crazy amount of years that could change as well?

I'm sure that has to be changeable as well, but likely only if there is a reformation of the upper conferences.

pretty sure it is. Just wait til bama sits in the number 5 spot. Saban will be all for an eight team playoff

Didn't we have to wait for the current BCS agreement to run out before they went to this new system? I don't see this format changing before it runs out unless there is a reformation that leads to enough changes to warrant throwing that agreement out.
