Game Thread: SEC Championship #1 Alabama vs #4 Georgia, 4PM EST, CBS

The day has finally come. This has potential to be a really good game. It also has potential to be a blowout.

We're capable of winning this game, but whether we do or not will be determined on the field.

Hopefully we see a good, injury free game where both teams shake hands before and after the game with the Dawgs coming out on top.

I know this is a bit early to start the game thread, but with Bama fans greatly outnumbering UGA fans on this board, I figured I needed to act fast.

I'm the overreaction king when live posting.

But other than the new ones, UGA doesn't have a big presence on this site.

The one thing we have going for us is we have a really good secondary, and we've allowed the fewest explosive plays in the country(Alabama has the most explosive plays in the country), part of the reason why that is the case for us is the scheme we run a lot, and it's a reason why the sack numbers are so low.

I'm willing to risk giving up some big plays if it means we can get pressure on Tua.

It's the only chance UGA will have at slowing Alabama down. This is the most explosive team they will see this year with the receivers and Tua. LSU was the best at not giving up explosive plays before they played Alabama. Tua just picked them apart all game because they couldn't get pressure on him.

Unfortunately the best way for that to happen is to have Brenton Cox, Adam Anderson, Channing Tindale and Otis Reese play a lot of snaps, but I have my doubts that Kirby will want that many true freshmen on the field at once. They might make a boneheaded play or two, but they're just so much more gifted than the Juwan Taylor, Tae Crowder and Natrez Patrick types.
