No way, IMO. Salaries are based a lot on stats and analytics. I can't see anyone doing that on purpose.

well, the strike in the 90's hurt them and a lot of people never came back. MLB is basically a regional sport now where people really only watch their own team play. Not like the NFL where people watch every team.

Why would MLB want Houston to keep the World Series trophy? Houston cheated and the players knew it. Houston Astros with carry the cheating on forever, people won't forget it.
