I saw that once. It resulted in a restraining order though.

Was it a very long one... what was the distance you had to stay away? 50 yards? 200? Asking for a friend

Man. Initially, I was disappointed in the Brewers as I read the article, thinking they were turning their back on a local company in favor of a bigger payday. I found this quote from the Klement's particularly damning:
Unfortunately, the Brewers abruptly and without explanation cut off our negotiations. To our surprise, weeks later the Brewers informed us that they signed with another undisclosed company, and we would not have the opportunity to match the deal or negotiate.

Generally speaking, that's a pretty shitty way to treat a 25-year partner. Then I read this:
Klement's has undergone change in recent years.

Founded in Milwaukee in 1956 by brothers George, John and Ron Klement, the firm was acquired in 2014 by San Francisco-based private equity firm Altamont Capital Partners.

There's more to this story.

The silver lining is that the sausage races will continue, it'll just be with another sponsor.

Yes, was announced today that Johnsonville would be the new sponsor. A bit surprised it wasn't the locally based Usingers.

Obviously, I'm not familiar with the Brewers' business tendencies, but based on what I read in that article, it seems Klement's, or their parent company, definitely did something that pissed the Brewers off quite a bit.

Bob does commercials for them, thought that would be a perfect match.
