This has not been a good year for Samsung, they've already lost an estimated $26 billion in market value after the initial Note 7's were blowing up this has to hurt them even more.

Now obviously there was something inherently wrong with the Note 7 implementation as it is much more common in this phone. But don't think you're excluded just because you own another phone.

Fuck Samsung. My Samsung washer has been recalled as well. Several have blown up because the mounts holding the tub in place can break in the spin cycle. So far their sage wisdom is "don't wash heavy things".

LOL...we also got one of those "Smart dryers" and have already had trouble with the sensors. We were given some equally stupid advice, like "don't dry any clothing that will produce too much lint."

Some people think Samsung will lose somewhere around $3-$5 billion from this disaster. Samsung is going to have to give away a lot of accessories with their next line or really knock it out of the park to fix their image after this. From what I've read they still don't even know what the cause of the problem is yet.

That's the scary part, they have engineers that I'm sure are making 200-300k a year.

Samsung is a huge multi-billion generating conglomerate, but this is going to do damage...the phone DIV could go the way of the hover board if they don't find a real cause and fix soon.
