Actually he's right although at first I thought you probably were.

The reward goes to the team losing the coach because they were ostensibly responsible for "developing" the candidate.

That’s why it’s even more stupid. If I was in the nfc east I’d definitely not hire a minority within the division simply due to keeping them from getting the draft pick

I'm not so sure about this guy, another untested coach who is going to be learning on the job.

At least with the retreads you know they have head coaching experience.

You never know what you'll get as he could be the next great head coach or the next Adam Gase.

I like the hire for the Jets though as the defensive guys on the 9ers really played hard for him and he's shown me that he can learn and adapt overtime.

When he got the 9ers DC job in 2017 he basically ran a copy of Pete Carroll's defense but over the past couple of years he's tweaked and adjusted it and made it something his own.
