I the real answer is to expand. Let's get 18 league conferences. 8 in your own division and 2 vs the other. Division winners based division record first, than conference record. Put together SEC v Big 10 in week 1. Week 2 SEC vs ACC. I think eventually CFB will go in this direction and mimic the NFL. Talk of a new division is the first step towards this. It won't happen unless it. Is in a sweeping universal reform

2014
Florida Atlantic NOT Power 5
Southern Miss NOT Power 5
Western Carolina NOT even FBS (although the catamounts do play Furman, Brevard, Catawba, Presbyterian, Wofford, and Mercer)

Seems to be more of a "Do as we say, not as we do." I know of another school like that.

Alabama's OOC opponents were 13-35 last year, a .271 winning percentage.

Alabama has the 12th easiest SEC schedule.

Alabama has the EASIEST SEC West Schedule.

OK, maybe it is an aberration, no in 2013 Alabama had the 40th rated schedule before the season started.

OK, 2011, surely Alabama had the toughest rated schedule before the season started, nope again, 26th, Indiana was in 24th.

2012 Alabama did have the #3 schedule before the season started.

Saban should only talk like this when he can back it up.

Millions a year in revenue. Much better facilities. Higher quality athletes. Just for starters.

Not really. CU's athletic department was broke as a joke and an ass hair away from bankruptcy right before joining the Pac 10. I wouldn't say any of those schools have much better facilities or higher quality athletes. Also, KU was stomped by South Dakota State 2 years ago, CU lost to Sacramento State two years ago, Minny lost to NDSU in '11, etc, etc. So playing weak as fuck BCS schools in OOC like KU, CU, MInny, etc isn't anymore impressive than playing FCS schools. Now, I'm against any FBS school playing FCS schools, but let's not act like playing shitty BCS schools like Minnesota, KU, CU, Purdue, Kentucky, Duke, NC State is so much better and more impressive than playing Western Kentucky, Sacramento State, NDSU, etc.
