Now I'm not a genius by any stretch when it comes to all things related to NASCAR but why would you take a format that your fans haven't liked from the start and bring it to another series and think it'll yield better results and interest? Now I don't know how to drum up more interest for the truck series off the top of my head but this definitely isn't the way.

The truck series has always been more of a gimmick to me anyways.

I've been a defender of NASCAR rulings for a while and I'm a stock car racing junkie, but they'll strain my fanhood if this shit ever comes to the Cup Series with the 20 minute clock deal.

Actually the clock was suggested by Bruton Smith some years ago, but it was seen as too much of a gimmick then. I guess hanging around with Bruton has rubbed off on BF.

I read the caution clock thing and all I thought back to was a few years ago in the Sprint cup at a track (Indy?) where the tires were crap and they were throwing out mando cautions all the time. Who saw that and said "this is what we need more of!"
