I don’t want to squabble too much with one of the most exciting post seasons in sports.

However…I think if they tweak it a little bit, it becomes even better. This is the round I want to see the changes. I think that they should reseed after the Wildcard round. It has no bearing on the AL this year but the NLDS would be Atlanta - D’Backs and Dodgers- Phillies

I also like a 7 game series here as well. I think it is a better reflection (though imperfect) of producing the better team if they have to win 4 of 7 as opposed to 3 of 5.

Of course I like a 7 game series instead of 5 but we're already getting into November by the time the World Series is over.

Fair point. At the same time with this schedule this year and the off days 5 games wrap up next Saturday. A 7 game format would wrap up on Tuesday if you allow for a travel day between each site. If you take away a travel day between game 5 and 6 then you wrap it on Monday. Two days is not super different. You make the turnover time between ALDS/NLDS and ALCS/NLCS tighter but then that’s advantage to team who can wrap in less than 7 to set up their pitching for LCS.

The LDS really should be 7 games at this point. It's a bit silly for a series to be less than that at this point of an already 162 game regular season. Feels incomplete to me.

That's just my taste though.

If they did re-seed after the wildcard round would it be this?
(1)BAL (101-61) vs (4)MIN (87-75)
(2)HOU (90-72) vs (3)TEX (90-72)

(1)ATL (104-58) vs (4)ARZ (84-78)
(2)LAD (100-62) vs (3)PHI (90-72)

I prefer 7 but i can live with 5 but i think reseeding is a must

I dont see the point of getting the 1 seed if you aren't getting the easiest route (by record to the world series)

Should be Braves vs Dbacks & Dodgers vs Phils in the NL & Baltimore vs Minny & Texas vs Houston in the AL
