RIP Pete Van Wieren

Pete Van Wieren lost his battle with Leukemia yesterday. He was a great announcer for the Braves for many years. May he RIP.

Grew up listening to him, Ernie Johnson and Skip Carey. Pete (the Professor) was one of the best and probably didn't get the recognition he deserved.

Growing up we could only get the Braves on TBS or Cubs on WGN. Spent many, many nights listening to Pete.

"I'd attend a tour of the Atlanta Sewage Treatment facility if it were guided by Pete Van Wieren"

I always enjoyed listening to Pete and Skip call the games. Skip left us too young and Pete retired not long after. I don't mind Chip and Joe, but I'll always miss Skip and Pete.
