1921?

Innagural NBA season was 1949.

Akron Pros is not an NBA team.

Did you forget what you said?

He did actually.

He was the first black coach in the NBA, -->and I am pretty sure that also made him the first black coach in any major professional sport.

You said any major professional sport.

You said any major professional sport.

Was basketball a major professional sport in 1921?

No, it was not. It was a fledgling sport.

To answer your question no obviously but that doesn't matter. You said "first black coach in any major professional sport". Bill Russell wasn't the first black HC of a major professional team like you suggested. It was Fritz Pollard in 1921.

I said I thought he was.

Even then, it is very debatable. Because I don’t think football qualified as a major pro sport back then either.

Just because it is now doesn’t mean it was back then.

And Bill Russell was absolutely the first black NBA coach.

Cool. Coaches don’t wear numbers. Players do.

Neither is "doctor" Phil or "doctor" Oz.

Not sure about Dr. Dre.

And Dr. Pepper isn't a person.
Dr Oz is a retired cardiothoracic surgeon.

Now if you say he isn't fit for political office, I won't argue the point.

Are you familiar with all the bogus products he pushed on his show over the years?

Okay so he was at one time a legit doctor. But he's not anymore.

Ok, so he became a salesman. But he's still a REAL Doctor.

FWIW, I think the idiots who voted for him for Senate are truly idiots.

Sure he's a real doctor. But you would trust him? I wouldn't. Ben Carson's another doctor I wouldn't trust.

How bad is the flooding? Have the monsoon rains moved on or is there more rain on the way?

Casinos flooded again Thursday. I'm guessing the rain is done, but we need much much more.

I'm a HS grad, with some college, but even I knew when the casinos started digging down to make parking garages they needed work on possible flooding.

I love it that these really smart people aren't all that smart.

Is part of Koval Lane still a problem when it rains? Where Imperial Palace was. Behind there always flooded.

I honestly don't know, I avoid the strip as much as possible. I don't want to GIVE my money to the casinos. I know I would do just that if I started sitting at the tables or slots.

Since covid we havent gave any money, but prior the wife and I'd go into a local casino the wife would donate $20 as I watch sports and walk away.

Well, the wife would at least win enough to break close to even, while I just lost, hence the decision to watch TV.

Other than the short time Lebron has worn #6, not much to lose there for the Lakers: 2 years of Eddie Jones, then this long list of meh: Chucky Brown, Jelani McCoy, Maurice Evans, Adam "The Stache" Morrison, Josh McRoberts, Earl Clark, Kent Bazemore, Jordan Clarkson, Derrick Williams, Lance Stephenson . . . lol.
