Twice now in this series, I've seen Mrazek skate out in front of someone who was going to pass by or through the crease to draw a penalty. This seems really bush league to me. Shouldn't that be interference ON the goaltender, and not goaltender interference? You could see in both instances he deliberately skated to stand right in the path of a passing player to cause a crash.

No better goalie in the league right now than Price - who is a master at initiating contact and making it look like he got interfered with. If you wanna be the best, you gotta adopt some tricks of the trade along the way.

Personally, I'd like to see both teams get a penalty for those questionable goalie collisions to deter teams from running at the goalie and deter goalies from that "gamesmanship".

it's pretty simple. stay out of the crease and no penalty is called.

there was no reason for stamkos to to skate that deep into the crease on that play. if the goalie trips the player outside the crease then it should be interference on the goalie

I don't expect you to agree with my opinion. If he was on the team I rooted for, I'd probably look at it differently. Still, Dept. of Player safety, such as it is, deemed it questionable enough to have a hearing on it. That says enough.
it just tells you the nhl player safety department is a joke. i find it hilarious how nothing at all is being said about the palat hit on glendening, which was worse than the kronwall hit

It's bush league to think you have the right to skate through the goaltender's crease as if you own it. Mrazek was perfectly well within his right to do what he did. He could set up a grill and cook some brats on it and so long as he remains in his crease, you don't enter the blue area.

Even after getting assaulted by Kronwall, Kucherov didn’t let it affect his play. He left the game briefly to get checked out in the locker room and came back out on the ice in the third to help the Bolts preserve the victory.

Kronwall may have had a brief moment of satisfaction from his hard hit.

Kucherov got the last laugh.

This got a minor penalty that was never served and netted a $2500 fine. Weber makes $2500 in about 20 seconds of ice time.

you just have to look at these playoffs to see how fucked up this is.

subban's Paul bunion didn't even warrant a hearing. wilson destroying visnosky, karlsson twice kronwalled a habs player. palat head shot on glendening.

Detroit just got hosed big time. FUCK the NHL

I didn't like the Deputy Dan Hamhuis pick of the 18 year old head of Sam Bennett either (nothing from the league as far as supplementary discipline was concerned on that one).

I get Wings fans frustrations, it definitely feels like you're getting screwed in the ass, however:

If he wasn't suspended, everyone other than Wings fans would be complaining that they were too easy on Kronwall

If he's suspended(which is the case), everyone is complaining that the league is putting Detroit in an unfair position and that in a game as big as this one, it's going to really hurt them

We all know Kronwall has been on the edge of being suspended on numerous occasions and he was bound to get suspended at some point - while I'm sure you could make the case for suspending other guys for other hits, the league does have a certain eye on specific players more than others because of the history and the type of player that they are

The league did what everyone has wanted them to do for a while now, so let's give them credit on this one, for a change
