The idea of my adapted city's Red Sox making the post-season while the
Yankees miss it has very strong appeal to me.

There is a strong chance of the Royals sweeping the Yankees if they win with Davis tonight.

Hope that's not just wishful thinking on your part. Can't pretend that I'm that optimistic however.

I'm confident this year's Red Sox can finish ahead of the Yankees, now that Not-My-Valentine is gone.

Be glad that unprintable has never managed your team. Never have I seen a manager more clueless
about when to lift pitchers. And I have been following baseball for more than 40 years in both
my native city and my adapted city.
