C'mon Dutchy! Tough for a lefty to shut down the right handed power of J's. Is Holland up to the task? :hope:

Cant wait to see what the Mets offense does for an encore tonight....Thor could use all the support he can get on the road, where he's still winless....(0-5, 5.05 ERA away) vs. (7-1, 1.82 at home)

Until he proves otherwise, I will continue to pick against him on the road. I thought TC said they had identified a flaw in his pre-game routine on the road, and they fixed it!

.....yeah right...TC also identified a flaw in the stock market's recent dive, and he's apparently fixed that too.... at least for the time being.
The Dow is now trending back up...:D

He'll be doing national broadcasts I'm sure. I thought Josh Maurer was nauseating when he filled in during Orsillo's July vacation. I assume he's the leading candidate.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan either. I'd like to see Dave O'Brien move from the radio and do the telecasts, but not sure how realistic that is.

I checked his schedule and saw that he's faced MIL, PHI, CIN & SDP (shitty offensive teams) at home and CHC, PIT, LAD and STL on the road and thought it was the same thing as the Mets' schedule and was going to chastise you about it.

I looked at the starts though, and while he has beaten the piss out of those crappy teams at home (4-0, 0.61 ERA, 7.1 IP/start), he's also been pretty damn good against those good teams on the road (0-3, 2.59 ERA, 6.0 IP/start).

His shitty road numbers are due to shit run support (0-3 with a 2.59 ERA on the road against the above teams), and that 5 of his only 6 non-quality starts have come on the road - interestingly, not against particularly good offenses (SDP, TBR, ATL). His ERA in those five starts is 8.46.

What does this all mean? I'm not really sure, other than I can't bash Syndergaard for being great against shitty teams and getting fucked by good teams.

He's got nine road starts and in four of them (vs STL, PIT, LAD & WAS), he's 0-2 with a 1.88 ERA. Not his fault they/he lost those games.

Excellent. Just read O'Brien is Orsillo's replacement.
