That flick was a trip. Kept on trying to turn it off but just couldn't.

When I was a kid I liked Time Bandits...

Showed it to my 3 kids not too long ago and the pacing on older movies just isn't the same so they didn't stay interested the entire way...
I played this for my 2 on Saturday. I've shown them some of my other childhood favorites and they loved them. Time Bandits however, I ended up finishing alone. Just doesn't seem to translate to today....

Didn't go through the thread, but I would suggest 'The Royal Tanenbaums' and 'The Life Aquatic.' I guess they were fairly popular, though.

I'll go with "The Train" with Burt Lancaster.
a 1964 movie about WWII French resistance trying to stop a train loaded with stolen Nazi treasure.

Continuing in the Burt Lancaster vein, i'll go with 1968's "The Swimmer". Guy decides to swim to his home via his neighbor's swimming pools. Turns out he's got some real problems. Go figure. :suds:

Been a very long time since I saw that, but I remember that it was very unusual and that I enjoyed it.

I don't know how many people have seen it or liked it, but I think that "The Claim" is both at least somewhat obscure and underrated.
