Marty was too strong a personality for Dan, he had no problem telling Dan he was a dumb ass.

I was a fan of Spurrier's when he was at FL but would have rather had Marty because so many college coaches failed at the pro game. I was happy when Steve went to South Carolina and turned that program around from what it had been.

Steve was a hoot, he was a great collage coach. Todays NFL has taken parts of Spurrier's offense but his collage offense was not a match for the NFL not to mention the people they brought in as players were terrible.
