Jake Thompson has thrown 6 scoreless innings for Frisco tonight bringing his ERA down to 1.80. If I remember correctly hes thrown enough minor league innings. I wonder if he'd be considered to fill a spot soon? Detwiler might get 1 or 2 more, but I bet he'll be on a short leash considering we need a lefty in the pen. Bonilla with TJ, and NT blows. That should help his chances.

Heard Moreland won't be playing tonight due to an elbow injury. Not believed to be serious ( where have I heard this before?) either way not a big loss.

You are either trying to get someones goat or you just have no idea what you are talking about and I do not ever give you a hard time. I am not a Moreland fan but I would rather see him at the plate right now for the Rangers than most of the guys on this team.

If he did it was one of the few times lately that seems Detroit was fleeced by someone because their additions have fared well. I do like what I have heard of JT and hope it pans out well for us.

Last time I looked he's not hitting .300 with gaudy power numbers or occasionally " turning the tide" in ball games. That's the kind of performance you can typically expect from a guy you pay to only swing the bat on a nightly basis or play first base.

I posted the other day the Tigers owe about $500,000,000 just to 4 players between now and 2022. Geez, Nathan is making $10 mil and he's not one of those 4.
