Series Thread: Rangers Play Three Games in Washington Prior to the All Star Break July 7-9

Sweeping this series could be a huge lift. Getting swept could cause the front office to hold off on some trades.

Bradford, Dunning and Heaney are the pitchers in this series.

We also have the draft coming up beginning Sunday evening.

Seager leading off so much is terrible

Let them move down and if they play better move them up again. Lowe may be what he is as his swing looks altered to go mostly the oppo way

Have to do better with situational hitting no contact with men on scoring position is killing them

Still think they make the playoffs and likely win over 90 games due to quick start. Have to think the pen is about to be tweaked.

I would be ecstatic with Skenes, Crews, or Langford. Unfortunately we pick 4th and if those guys go 1, 2, 3 we likely take Jennings or Clark. HS phenoms require big slot money and likely won't be in the bigs until 2025 at earliest.

Just hoping we get a solid college hitter. Highly doubt Skenes drops to 4.

Too early to jump on the bandwagon of negativity.
The real good teams do go into the ASB strong and come out strong though.
The bigger problem than the bullpen which theoretically could be vastly improved through trades is what is going on with the team’s mindset of coming back and win a few late inning come from behind games.
It’s like they went too many games just pulverizing teams through 6 innings that coming from behind late in the game causes them to go into shock.

Marcus Semien's third best year-ending OPS is .735. That's right, he has only had two really good years. Granted, those were extremely good, but there has only been two of them.

Jack Leiter takes the mound in Frisco's first game of their doubleheader this evening.

Leiter starts the game off looking bad. Not a whole lot going right for this team, outside of a few hitters at Round Rock and a scattered few elsewhere.

Leiter may not even record an out.

These are the players who should be playing the majority of the time. Not just for the mere fact that they have had good seasons this year but they have speed. Do not need guys that can't score from 1st on a double or from 2nd on a single and that seems to have happened a number of times in the past week.
