Not sure but it's just been mentioned that there had been discussions between the Mets with the Astros and Dodgers. So we don't really know how serious the talks have been. Verlander still has it going on but the $43 million a year will scare many teams away.

And a no-trade clause. Most of experts seem to think he might not be open to waiving it.

I guess if the sweep had been in reverse we could have potentially given them the whole farm system for Soto, Hader and Snell….which would have been the better of the scenarios?

I don't know if we are in the market for anyone close to any of those guys. I think it would have been another team that traded for them.

I think the FO sees getting Seager back healthy is all the offense needs, and getting Chapman and Stratton was all the pen needed. They got a really good starter and a big name starter, and I think they are satisfied on that front.

I rhink if a bargain turns up at some point later today they may become interested.

I think the SD players were forgotten about before the series. But I still think we’re still in on pitching especially relievers like Clase, Lange & Bednar and if Detroit gives a right signal maybe even Eduardo Rodriguez
