Scherzer is a tough minded player and maybe that will rub off onto some of the other pitchers/players in the Rangers organization. OTOH he can also be a bit too hot headed and get himself into trouble with the umps BTA sometimes the umps need to get an unadulterated earful...

Nevertheless his time in Arlington should be interesting to say the least...

Not sure but it's just been mentioned that there had been discussions between the Mets with the Astros and Dodgers. So we don't really know how serious the talks have been. Verlander still has it going on but the $43 million a year will scare many teams away.
