hamilton had more total bases in one game than Pujols has had in his last 9 games
How many did Josh have in Toronto?

I believe both parties will get something worked out that is somewhere in the middle of what both parties want. My guess is it may be a little more than what Texas wants to pay with a little protective language, and a little less than what josh has in mind.

you can't stop the hate, can you?

He's just one of the people keeping his head straight in lieu of Josh's epic performance. I'm not opposed to giving him Werth money as long as the contract can be based on number of games played to get to that top amount. Kind of hard to argue with that logic. You get paid elite money when you play at an elite level for a whole season. When you don't (be it injury or whatever) you get paid very very good money for your performance in those limited appearances.
Don't such a drama queen, scotty. It's a legitimate question.
maybe he is maybe he isn't. if he talked about keeping the guy with an incentive-based contract then i would believe he's keeping his head straight but all he's seemingly posted is let Hamilton walk. i believe that we should work on an incentive-based contract with Hamilton and ensure he doesn't walk away to some team like the Angels or the Yankees.
I didn't get that from his post at all. And like the angels could sign him anyways lol.
^^^wrong LA team.
Dodgers would be the one to be concerned about. (according to the "talking heads" anyways)
and did anyone expect the Angels to sign both Pujols & Wilson this last off-season? what would stop them from going after Hamilton this off-season?
Nope, but after those acquisitions I see no way they could sign him now.

I'm really getting sick oh Wash's notion that he has to get Torrealba in the lineup multiple times a week. Especially at the expense of leaving Snyder out who's been so good so far. Torrealba is trash at the plate, and he's trash behind it.
