One of these days we will be forced to not keep Seise rostered and he will go somewhere else. If that happens and he starts staying healthy they will get a great SS. It won't be the Rangers fault, but some team will be very fortunate.

Unfortunately the market has shifted to an extreme where teams are forced to overpay to land a FA. I don't have an issue with the Rangers jumping into that market, but I prefer them getting the most bang for their buck, and I'm not convinced Correa is that.

With the SS market being so over loaded I’m hoping we can sneak a decent contract in for Story. I honestly believe he’s tired of Colorado and just having a down year. I bet he lights it up next year and for years to come. Could be a steal of a deal. Not sure what it would take to sign him but Correa, Seager and Semien are going to be large contracts as well. They’re going to run out of teams with enough money and the need for a SS. Could be a perfect time to land Story.

Given that 4 marquee SS are hitting the market at the same time, it's going to be a potential clusterfuck, especially since Lindor set where the bar now is with his 10/341 extension. Lindor is 27; Correa is 26, Seager is 27, Story is 28 and Semien is 30. All will be looking for at least 8 years I assume, with the youngest three probably looking for 10.

I wouldn't hate Story, his home/road splits are concerning and I've always liked Semien, didn't realize he was a FA
