Evan Grant posted his year-by-year guess on what a new Darvish contract would look like. All total, it's 6/145 with a $10m signing bonus, and opt-out after third year.

My proposal from the other day was 5/140, which is a higher AAV and shorter contract. I'd do an opt-out as well, and wouldn't be opposed to a 6th year that kicked in once certain performance milestones are reached.

It is interesting that Rua goes 6 for 10 when starting 3 out of 4 days in a row with 2 doubles and a HR and he is out of the lineup. Since his big game Hoying has went 1 for 12.

The last time Rua started 3 out of 4 days he went 4 for 11 with a double and a HR
