Congrats, big unit! You are greatly deserving of this honor! He received 97.3% of the vote for induction. Who were the 15 people who thought he did NOT deserve to be a first ballot HOF?

I am happy he got in on the first ballot. Well deserving. He should have been a unanimous selection. The problem with the selection process is that it forces people who would normally vote for him, to vote for other guys who deserve to be in the HoF knowing RJ was going to get in without their votes.

I read recently there are people who don't vote for slam dunk HOF'ers (i.e., Randy Johnson) because everybody else is going to vote for them anyway so they give their vote to somebody else. Pretty damn ridiculous and I agree they should have their voting privileges revoked.

Wish he was wearing a M's hat though, behind Griffey he was the best player in franchise history... too bad he was shipped out because of his "bad back"
