After the Rams land a big OT or two, maybe they will focus on defense in the draft.

Carolina traded Brian Burns to the NY Giants for a 2nd and 5th rounder.

16 months after turning down the Rams offer of 2 1st rounders and a 2nd.

Now we know why the Panthers will never be a championship level team with the present state of the FO. They make horrendously stupid decisions about their players in the most sideways and awkward of terms. Just as a post above has indicated, after refusing two number ones from the Rams a year previous for Brian Burns, they turn around and do something completely flippant and pointless and trade him for a Second and a Fifth rounder. Nothing is more chaotic, destructive, and mentally unstable, then this open vapid display of corporate abuse of power.

Yep, I think the Rams might have overspent a tad too much in signing Jonah Jackson. In conjunction with his propensity to be injured, the Rams now have to be motivated to draft additional good O-lineman to provide backup for when the next injury occurs.

Gonna address defensive needs in the draft?
The Rams potential focus shift to defense should not be myopic to the point of forgetting or ignoring the opportunity to take advantage of the obvious large numbers of very good O-lineman players presented in this draft. Historically, when the Rams get position myopic, it most def leads to a detriment that leaves them scrambling to piece together solutions to fill the resulting holes that significantly hinders the team's perennial winning culture.

Looks like they getting draft assets together to try and trade for Tee Higgins, the disgruntled Bengals WR who wants a big payday.

No doubt DJ, but the Panthers could have accomplished the same both last year AND this year as the Rams were back checking on Burns' availability before the FA period this year. The Rams probably would have offered even more picks than what the Giants gave the Panthers but the Panthers didn't even consider that possibility. Just mind-boggling!
