Anyone else concerned about the Rams giving Dotson a huge payday?

I know he was great last year, but he was bad with the Stellers previously.

And we’ve seen this before where players have a career year right before they become FA’s, get the big contract, and then go back to who they were before.

Dotson could be another one of those guys.

Dotson wants $17 mil per season. The Rams have initially offered $15.7 mil. They are talking and the latest word is a deal may be done as soon as they are through with Shelton who is def going to sign his new extension within the next two weeks. Jackson might be done before that because he is restricted. Additional rumors are swirling about Wentz. If the Rams don't trade for Wilson, they will extend Wentz as the back-up.

I have not seen any official rags reports yet, but podcasts are reporting that Zach Wilson is headed from the Jets to the Rams to be the backup to Stafford. I suppose that Wentz may or may not be back.

Haven't seen anything team specific, only that he was given permission to seek a trade. That usually means the Jets haven't received any offers yet?

Rams are rumored to be interested in the Raiders Andre James at the center position and they are evaluating the option of letting Shelton walk. James is expensive but is rated as the Second best Center in the league. This makes no sense to me when an even younger, cheaper powerhouse of Powers-Johnson is available for the taking in the late First Round early Second Round.

It is a possibility but if the Rams re-sign A. JAckson and get one or two of the Big 12 tackles in the draft, I doubt this would become a reality.
