I wouldn’t call it a good/successful season.

Speaking of successful seasons, this might be my favorite season since the Bucks won the championship. Going into The Game as underdogs -- which gave all those UoM shitbirds hope that this would be the year -- only to end up laying an historic bitch slap on that worthless coach and team was just awesome.

Good times.

So a bowl eligible team with incredibly high academic standards is not a good season? Hmm say's more about you then it does them

If you have such low standards that finishing third in your division and your best win was an epic meltdown by 8-4 Oregon is a good season, then so be it.

I'm not saying it was a good or great season from Stanford I expected more but to say it was like shitting the bed is a bit much. USC and Florida State shit the bed Stanford not as much.

Shitting down their leg might be much but it was nor a good season not a quality win for Notre Dame. It’s a far cry from 10-3 and 12-2 from 2016 and 2015 respectively.

I get your point, you want to give partial wins for having higher academic standards. So does Northwestern and had they not won their division, I wouldn’t call their 8-4 season a huge success.

Sure about like a 6-6 Purdue but at least Notre Dame beat Stanford.

Yeah, 6-6 is a shitty season.

Good thing for you, ND didn’t face Purdue. Boilermakers would have dropped 75 points on that shit squad.

Stanford is having an off year by their recent standards, but a likely 8-4 season with a close loss to Washington isn't exactly shitting the bed either.
8-4 wouldn't be bad if the Pac 12 was up to par this year. From what the Pac 12 regulars are saying, that ain't the case. So 8-4 this year may be more like a 6-6 or 5-7 in a "normal" Pac 12 year.

Not totally sold on Clemson. Saying ND couldn’t make it a game is pretty stoooopid

I think the point was that while ND is unbeaten, their schedule looks much less impressive than it did a couple months ago.
Here is an interesting Statistic, Record of the ND, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma opponents:
Notre Dame, 75- 67 (Va. Tech and Stanford each have 1 game to play.) 52.80 % No FCS
Alabama, 73-69 (The Citadel only plays 10 Games) 51.40 % 1 FCS
Ohio State 67-77 46.52% No FCS
Oklahoma 72-69 (Army 1 game left, WVU and Iowa St. only 11 games) 51.06% no FCS
So much for ND's weak schedule. However, hats off to Georgia
Georgia 83 -59 ( So. Carolina Austin Peay only 11 Games) 58.45 1 FCS

FSU 2014?

2009 Cincinnati was even less impressive out of the old Big East. Tebow hung 51 on em in his last ever college game.

2009 saw Alabama, Florida, Texas and Cincinnati all finish the regular season 12-0. One of them was far from like the others.

Not likely Notre Dame plays defense Ohio State should try it.

Ohio State fans are really angry because Notre Dame didn't lose and now they have a real chance of not making it into the playoff. Just think how seamless this would be if Notre Dame had lost and Oklahoma and Ohio State win out. Sorry fellas some one won't make the party and it's unlikely to be the team that is 12-0.
