The Twins have some pretty solid prospects that I am looking forward to seeing improve in 2018.
Royce Lewis ~ Turns 19 in June. 1st overall pick in the draft last year. Hit .279/.381 in just over 200 at bats between rookie ball and low A last year. Would be great if he is able to stay at short. We will probably have to wait until 2021 to see him with the big club but everything I have read about him says he's gonna be pretty damn good.
Nick Gordon ~ Turned 22 in October. The Twins first pick 5th overall in 2014. Spent 2017 in Chattanooga, hit .270/.341 not much power hasn't shown great base stealing ability yet. Plays mostly short but from what I have read he projects better at second. Strikes out way to much for a middle infielder with not much power. We could see him this year and he probably starts 2019 with the big club.
Brent Rooker ~ Turned 23 in November. Compensation pick from the 2017 draft. Spent the year in rookie ball and Fort Myers. Has some pop, hit 18 home runs in 228 at bats hit .281/.364 not sure yet if he is a first baseman or maybe left fielder but if he has a solid 2018 he could be with the big club in 2019. Strikeouts could be a concern.
Unfortunately we don't have many good pitching prospects, some like Gonsalves but I am not sure he's anything more than a #3 starter at best.
