So whose ready for some FOOTBALL??????!!!!!!!!!!

Seahawks vs. Broncos, 6pm PST,

Location: Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, Denver, Co

While this is the 1st preseason game of the year and expect one to two series with the starting QBs, there will still be lots to take from this game as players trying to make the final rosters will still put in max effort.

We all know how the last game played between these teams went down. It was a lot of this:

a lot of this:

and a lot of this:

so still expect the Broncos to want some revenge out of this by not letting the Seahawks walk away with another beatdown.

There was a thunder and lightning storms around Denver earlier today, but it's projected to move on by game time.

ESPN- A first preseason game probably has more importance now that it did a few years ago because there is so little actual hitting in training camp. Because of that, Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said there is one area that he will watch more than others in Thursday night's game at Denver.

“The interior line,” Carroll said. “The offensive and defensive line. You don’t really know until they go for it and start playing. We really focus up front where the guys can really cut it loose and play. We haven’t blocked anybody low the whole camp. There are aspects of the game that need this full-speed tempo just to get it right, so we will probably learn most right there.”

It’s the first time any players will make a tackle or be tackled since camp began.

“It’s also really good work for the receivers to get out there and know they’re going to get hit,” Carroll said. “We haven’t hit these guys at all. So the first time it's live action. It’s more difficult and challenging for them.”

The Seahawks had a walk-through practice Wednesday morning before heading to Denver for their first preseason game Thursday night, a Super Bowl rematch against the Broncos. It’s probably a game that means more to Denver than it does to the Seahawks, considering the Broncos lost the Super Bowl 43-8. “They will be a fired-up team and a very difficult situation to play in,’’ Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “They are going to make it difficult on us.”

The Seahawks, however, have won nine consecutive preseason games. “We play ‘em to win ‘em," Carroll said. “We don’t play it if we don’t care about winning. But we’re still going play everybody and see what happens.”

Carroll said the starters won’t play much because this game is all about the young guys trying to earn a roster spot. “It’s the time of year for opportunity,’’ Carroll said. “These guys have dreamed their whole life of being in the NFL and to have a chance to play, and here it is. We kind of dedicate this first game to those young guys, as we’ve always done. I hope they can come through and make some things happen.”

One player worth watching closely is middle linebacker Brock Coyle, an undrafted rookie from Montana who has been one of the biggest surprises in training camp. Coyle will start Thursday because Bobby Wagner has a hamstring injury, but Coyle (6-1, 245) was going to play a lot anyway. The coaches have been impressed with Coyle’s leadership skills, his overall knowledge and his ability to make the correct defensive calls. But it will come down to his tackling ability on the field.

Carroll said the team has a specific game plan going in, but it isn’t like a regular-season game plan. “We really game plan to put our guys in position to show us what they can do,’’ he said. “It’s not about the opponent to any extent like it is in the regular season. What’s most important right now is to figure our guys out.”

Extra-point attempts in the first two preseason games will come from the 15-yard line instead of the 2-yard line. So instead of a 20-yard kick, the PAT will be 33 yards. It’s an NFL experiment to try to make the point-after kick more difficult. Kickers made 99.6 percent of PATs last season. “I think it’s going to be a factor,” Carroll said. “It’s certainly in the minds of the kickers. It’s going to be a big deal when someone misses one and it makes the difference in the game.”

On another site a poster wrote something like : "Denver will not have seen this many Seahawk's back-ups since Feb 2."

Even tough a PS game, Denver will be Uber motivated to put on a good show. This game will show the depth of each team.

Denver will not have seen this many Seahawk's back-ups since Feb 2.

That is pretty good.

If anyone is expecting this to be a good game I think they are in for a disappointment. Winning a preseason game does not even come close to making up for that rapin' in February. I doubt the broncos treat this as anything more than a preseason game in which backups and roster bubble players have a chance to prove themselves.

To be honest, I am surprised a thread was created for any preseason game beyond just discussing how the undrafted rookies looked.

Good to see a Bronco fan's response though.

Broncos will come out with there #1's trying to prove something the 1st quarter... But that's about it.... 1st quarter is pretty much all that will matter.... The rest is just try-outs... Pre-season does show depth though so it's always good to get a look at the next men up...

I read that story.

I'd be careful with Wilson out there.

I'd give them a heavy dose of Terrelle Pryor and Tavares Jackson

I have to admit, he dances a lot better than I would have guessed based on his scrambling skills.

Surprised, not making claims it is a dumb thread. I guess we are all jonesing for some football.

Both QBs will be out after 1-2 series. Lynch isn't playing today. I'm interested in seeing the rooks and some of the 2nd stringers trying to make the final roster. The game is an evaluation, but still lots to analyze, especially in the 1st half.

Whose going to win that backup QB spot is one of the stories of this Hawks preseason. Also with Browner and Thurmond gone, how's that side of the CB and nickle package gonna perform.

Hopefully the players aren't too jacked up. I remember last years preseason game and there was some serious hitting going on with the starters because both teams were trying to make a statement.

It will be interesting to see how the refs call contact between the receivers and db's. They usually get really aggressive with the flags in the preseason to make a point.
